It's Time
I like to start new things on Mondays. Or on the first of the month. If the first of the month falls on a Monday, that's the best.
For the past twelve months, I've been working on a photo project, trying to document my 36th year. That project wraps up on my birthday later this week.
I wasn't really sure if I would follow through. A year is a long time to commit to taking lots and lots and lots of photos. But, yay! I did it! And I'm so glad I did.
I've gone back and forth on how I want to handle a project for the coming year. But, regardless of the details, I know without a doubt I do want to document it. In photos.
So, even though my birthday is Friday, it feels kind of like a Monday. A first of the month.
Because it's the start of a brand new photo project!
And a new(ish) direction for the blog.
Just a little house cleaning. A little freshening up.
Nothing drastic.
It'll be great :)
Now, off to enjoy my last few days of being 36! Eek!
By the way, two of these photos were taken in my camera's "Auto" mode as part of participation in Ashley Ann's SnapShops course. I can totally tell the difference in quality between those two and the rest of the photos. Ashley Ann's class teaches you how to get your camera OUT of Auto and IN to manual, plus a lot of other great topics. I just wrapped up my SnapShops course and it was a great class! Definitely recommend.

Happy, Happy Birthday! (or soon to be birthday) Which are the Auto shots? I have an idea, but I'm not sure.
Thanks, Jess! I'd love to hear your guess :)
Great job! 1 year projects are hard! I did a 365 self portrait project a couple years ago (I can not believe it has been that long!!!) and it had me wanting to quit many times!!! I am really glad I stuck with it. I have been a wimp recently and do 30day projects instead :) Speaking of, I really should start a new one!
