For pretty much the entire month of May, we didn't go outside much. I know. That's totally nutty and also totally unlike us. But, for some unknown reason, the cottonwood trees affected me dramatically this year and more than a few of us wanted to scratch our eyeballs out of our heads each night we'd been out. So, we were indoors an awful lot for such a lovely month.
But, we did have fun.
there was sewing going on
and, of course, plenty of lengthy, uninterrupted play
and books - always books
even crocheting (have I mentioned these girls are crafty?)
we did, sadly, struggle with a bit of sickness
if you can't read that, it says, "I am sick and it is beautiful outside."
we sewed blankies for precious Haitian children
with church friends
maybe not all of the fruit
rascal
this one is
good thing he's cute
and we cooked light all month long - even for Sam's birthday dinner
it actually resembled the recipe photo (!)
thirty
years
(I've known him for half of them now)
and now, the cottonwoods are done wreaking their havok, and we're hanging out poolside from now on. as much as is humanly possible :)
