SweetP turns 11

After Brother's huge, big deal Star Wars party, I was so relieved when SweetP described the party she wanted this year. Cupcakes. Just a color scheme... no theme. Simple. Pretty. Feminine.

Big kid.

Loved it.

Here's a photo recap of it all. First up... the house just before everyone arrived :)

And then the paaaaar-tay!

We do family parties. For the most part. If you figure a family birthday for each child and an additional party for them to have with friends, it doesn't take great math skills to figure out that's 10 parties a year. Too much. But, we do want them to have the memories of friend parties, too. So, we decided that 10th, 13th, and 16th birthdays would be friend party birthdays. Shug gets her first friend party this summer :)

A nail stamping kit :) Scarves. Tote bags. Headbands. Not a single toy. Isn't that some kind of milestone? First birthday with no toys?

I think she really liked her gifts.

Happy Birthday, girlie! It was a fun party!

That's my kind of party. A beautiful party for a beautiful girl!
